About the Project

Challenge

The 20-acre plot required transforming former barracks for beggars into a functional government facility, which involved relocating residents, acquiring permissions, and constructing while minimising disruptions. The project costing INR 700 Cr. required complex management of various facets.

Solution

Headway supported the end-to-end development of the project, which included all the paperwork, formalities, evacuation, construction, coordination and planning.

Result

The project construction is underway with two completed hostel buildings: one for boys with 2 lakh sq. ft. of space, accommodating around 1000 boys/men, and another for girls with 250 girls/women. The hostels have the most modern facilities like a computer room, gym, TV room, game room, and mini medical centre. The buildings are nearly complete with all the necessary clearances and permissions. The project includes a 11 lakh sq. ft. Govt. Office building which is larger than Mantralaya and a 1000-seater Auditorium and convention centre, built as a tribute to Dr B. R. Ambedkar (the Ambedkar Auditorium). Additionally, a VIP resthouse with 56 rooms/suites was constructed for Govt. officials along with other facilities, cafeteria, board room, and waiting rooms.
